Thermoformed Parts for 3D Advertising Signs
Aesthetic, Durable and High-Impact Solutions3D advertising signs are a popular way to add visual depth and eye-catching appeal to branding and promotional work. These signs are typically manufactured using the vacuum forming method. This process involves heating plastic sheets and drawing them onto a mold using vacuum, resulting in smooth and aesthetically pleasing surfaces.
Acrylic material, commonly used in production, is a durable, transparent and easily shapeable thermoplastic. Thanks to this material, signs can be produced in different forms and show resistance to sunlight, fading or color changes.
Production Technology
The first step in the thermoforming process is designing and manufacturing the mold to be used. The mold is typically made from metal or fiberglass-reinforced plastic and is prepared to fit the dimensions and contours of the sign. The heated acrylic sheet is placed on the mold and shaped with the help of vacuum. Once the sheet cools and hardens, it is removed from the mold and excess material is cleaned.
After the manufactured 3D signs pass quality control, necessary finishing processes are applied; painting, coating or mounting accessories can be added. Thanks to the vacuum forming method, large-volume production can be achieved at low cost.
